Object of Your Affection, June 24, 2004

Jesus' sacrifice on the cross offers his followers a protection from God's wrath. We become hidden by the blood of Jesus. When the Lord returns, and all hell has broken lose, followers of Jesus can be confident in their secure place in heaven. On the judgement day we are not objects of God's wrath, but his loving adopted children on whom God pours out his affection. Based on Zephaniah 3:14-17
You've adopted me
And Jesus blood has hidden me
From all of your wrath and your destruction

you sing and rejoice over me,
the object of your affection.
