Come in Glory, August 7, 2007
Words and Music by Leah Van Maaren
This song first came to mind on my way to a Sunday of interviews and reflections of the hardships full-time ministry entails. This is a prayer for renewal and the strength to endure until the day Jesus Christ returns.
VERSE 1:
Father God, we come to You
May You lift our hands up higher
Father God, we come to You
To make our dance inspired
Father God, we come to You
Increase our hearts' desire
To know You
To want You
To thirst for Your water
To seek You
To praise You
To raise our voices higher
Holy Father, send Your rain
Upon your chosen ones again
Let us not grow weary, let us not grow faint
Let us not retire until that chosen day
When the Son of Man will come in Glory
Father God, we come to You
Lift us from the mire
Father God, we come to You
Lord, let us not grow tired
Father God, we come to You
Send Your holy fire
To know You
To want You
To thirst for Your water
To seek You
To praise You
To raise our voices higher
Holy Father, send Your rain
Upon your chosen ones again
Let us not grow weary, let us not grow faint
Let us not retire until that chosen day
When the Son of Man will come in Glory
Holy Father, send Your rain...
